How it works

Three steps from a spreadsheet to a seating chart your venue can read.

Start with rules, not tables. List every pair who must sit together and every pair who must not, then let Auto-seat fill from the head table outward. The pictures below are the actual app, running the sample wedding.

Names, plus-ones and party sizes straight from your sheet. Name + Guest becomes two guests in one household.

Where does my guest list go?

Nowhere. Seatwise runs entirely in your browser and saves your chart in that browser's own storage. There is no account and no server holding your aunt's address. If you clear your browser data the chart goes with it, so use the built-in backup file if you switch computers.

What happens after I pay?

The checkout shows you a licence key on the receipt page and emails it to you. Paste the key into Seatwise under Settings. Printing and copy-as-text switch on for that event, and you can re-print as often as the list changes.

What if the board misprints?

Write to us within 14 days of buying. Tell us the size you chose and what the print shop said. If we cannot fix the export, we refund the $12 in full.

Does it work on my phone?

Viewing, checking a guest's table and small edits work on a phone. Building the chart, dragging guests around and exporting is a laptop or tablet job; the canvas needs the room.

Can my planner use it?

Yes. Send them the backup file and they open it in their browser. A Pro key is tied to one event, not one person, so the two of you can share it. Planners who run several events can buy the $49-a-year Planner licence, which covers every event.

How many guests can it handle?

The sample wedding on your first visit is 96 guests across eleven tables, and Auto-seat settles it in a second or two. Larger receptions work the same way; the canvas and the board both scale with the number of tables you add.

The board goes to the print shop the same night.
